Alte Wurzhutte in Schliersee

Very tasty, unfortunately very small portions, for someone who has just come back from hiking and is hungry, that's nothing. A couple next to us was also shocked by the crowd who only wanted to have dinner.

Unfortunately not good experiences. Cold food, discussion with the waitress because of a complaint, longer waiting time despite information about payment. The salad didn't go down well next to the table, no dressing and not fresh. Not recommended! Unfortunately it falls through despite the beautiful ambience !! No further visits!

We spontaneously decided on a long weekend. Double room perfect & clean, breakfast ok, staff fast and very nice. The price was reasonable and the attached restaurant was excellent. We had a wonderful weekend, say thank you and would love to come back!

The quiet at night is particularly relaxing here. Base station for hiking routes (Rotwand etc.) Accordingly lively active guests. Rooms are cheap and clean.

Great apple strudel, perfect for my wife. Nice terrace. Will definitely come back.

I stayed in the Alte Wurzütte for 2 days in September. The stay was very pleasant. We even had an upgrade to a room with a lake view. The breakfast was very good and all corona rules were implemented. The dinner in the restaurant was both in terms of taste and service without complaint.

The quality of the meat was good, French fries MC Donald's quality. Portions absolutely too small for the price. It's also nonsense that ketchup and mayonnaise are served in a small, closed jam jar, and why the fries are in such a small frying basket on the plate no one knows. Maybe that's what the tourists want? All in all, typically geared towards tourists.

Service was friendly. Nice and rustic atmosphere. The portion of chanterelles with a dumpling far too small for 15 €. The duck sauce was unfortunately inedible.

We spent a week in the hotel. The rooms were clean and functional as well as lovingly furnished - with a very special charm. The food was good and the location right on the Spitzingsee was just perfect. The staff was always friendly and courteous. The only suggestion for improvement: WiFi in the room, because we didn't have that !.

Nice restaurant in a nice location. The food is good, the price a little high, but when you go to a tourist destination, that's what you can expect. But I've also seen it much worse. So definitely recommended.

The offer for meals, especially from 15:00, is an imposition. There were only two different cakes left. My experience a few years ago was significantly better. There were really great snacks. We certainly don't go there anymore.

Good clean rooms, nice views of the lake, overall a bit old and out of date. There was only a reduced selection of dishes, which was caused by the epidemic. This was not communicated accordingly on the homepage and was not updated. Light switch installed behind doors, swapped cold / hot water, dark corners in the bathroom, badly visible room numbers, many such little things that overall spoil the impression. With a little more love, work and skill, it could be a top hotel.

Cozy and among a few options for eating after 19 in this region.

Simply fantastic. Moderate prices and wonderful food. Rustic furnished rooms. Friendly staff. Everything fits. 🙂👍 Was our first and last accommodation to our hut hiking. Gladly again to the next hike

The Gasthaus "Alte Wurzhütte Spitzingsee" is not well equipped or furnished, yet ideally suited to eat well after a hike.

It was a pleasure to have dinner and have a beer.

No heat and hot water....terrible wifi...dark and dingy

Authentic, but all in all a bit too simple as far as e.g. room equipment and the restaurant are concerned. Amazingly located next to the lake.

Good food, nice atmosphere, recommended!

Nice good options if you like meat. Nice interior, not far from the lake and hiking trails. Worth a trip to the town if you are hungry after skiing.
